Back in Dharamsala, Dalai Lama’s teachings

Saturday, March 22nd, 2003

Well, I’ve been back in Dharamsala for a couple days now, and have been going to the Dalai Lama’s teachings. These are three and a half hour affairs, 1-4:30pm, and are quite interesting…he teaches at many different levels at once, from very basic introduction to deep philosophy. (It’s impossible to tell how deep since the [...]

off to Dharamsala?, Tibetan prayer flags, Hindu festival!

Well, I spent last night sleeping with a guru…

Hello from Rewalsar, India!

Tuesday, February 25th, 2003

Well! I have made it to Rewalsar, which is a little town tucked away in the southern Himalayan mountains, near the border between India and Tibet. It’s known mainly as a pilgrimage site for Hindus, Buddhists, and Sikhs, and also for a prominent Tibetan lama who lives and teaches in the caves above Rewalsar.
Rewalsar isn’t [...]
